October 31 Seminar Report 150 Participants Joined the Discussion
The 2nd Kagoshima Prefecture Home Medical Care Promotion Forum, held on October 31, 2026, welcomed 150 participants. Its theme was ‘Let's talk at home about what lies ahead — conversations about future care connected through home medical care in Kagoshima.’ A three-way panel discussion and group work prompted lively exchanges about communities and how to understand the needs of patients and people using care services.

A three-way discussion on urban and rural communities
The panel explored the nature of urban and rural communities. Topics also extended beyond medical institutions to accounts of conversations at a Buddhist temple and other aspects of community life.
The exchange of different perspectives made for a meaningful, lively discussion and an opportunity to look beyond medical institutions to settings within the wider community.
Understanding people's needs in difficult cases
During group work, participants discussed how to identify the needs of patients and people using care services when dealing with difficult cases.
How can we understand what a person needs when the way forward is unclear? Exchanging views gave participants a valuable opportunity to reflect on this question together.
Thank you for taking part
We sincerely thank all 150 participants, the panel speakers, and everyone who helped organize the seminar.
