We harvested okra on both September 19th and 20th. We also harvested green peppers on the 20th.

When we checked the condition of the crops, we determined that watering was not necessary as all plots were still wet.

We inspected the crops grown at the community garden and harvested ripe vegetables.

We watered eggplants, green peppers, ginger, turmeric, and rakkyo, which had dry soil. Weeds that were growing inside the vegetable rows were also removed and the area around the crops was trimmed.

The entire farm has been confirmed. The crops were in similar condition, not much different from the previous day.

The field was wet enough from the rain, so I didn’t water it that day. I harvested some okra.

The only thing that looked dry was the rakkyo, so I watered the rakkyo.

New traces that appear to be footprints were found in the sweet potato plot. There were also two holes in the perimeter fence net, which may have been torn to the bottom where it was secured with stakes.

Behind the fence, I continued stacking the bamboo downwards. We are gradually reinforcing the lower part of the fence by layering bamboo.

Today’s observations

When we checked the farm, we found that all the sweet potatoes had been dug up by pigs. Sweet potatoes seem to have been completely lost.

All plants and eggplant enclosures were inspected to ensure there were no insects.

We cut the bamboo to fix the lower part of the fence, and the fixing work has progressed to about 80%. All that remains is the back and entrance.

It was a clear evening, 30 degrees Celsius, and 69% humidity. The photo was taken around 7:05 p.m.

I have finished splitting the bamboo necessary for a fence with a circumference of about 35 meters. Tomorrow I plan to start piling up the split bamboo.

When I inspected the eggplant enclosure, there were almost no insects. I removed all the bugs I found.

The sweet potatoes and mature okra were still quite moist. Other plants were watered to make sure they were well distributed.

I gathered as much bamboo as I could stake around the fence and began breaking it into small pieces to use as stakes.

We checked the condition of the soil and leaves of each plant, and decided not to water the sweet potatoes and mature okra because they didn’t look dry, but watered the other plants.

The weather was partly cloudy, 30 degrees Celsius, and 73% humidity. The photo was taken around 6:53 p.m.

We checked the dryness of the plants, and since all the plants were dry, we watered the entire field.

We inspected the inside of the eggplant insect net and removed all the insects we found. There were no major changes in the condition of the plants from the previous day, and they looked more or less the same.

After pulling out the remaining weeds along the new animal fence, we installed the entire fence and secured some sections. Tomorrow we will collect bamboo to secure the lower part of the fence to the ground, and plan to place stones at the bottom of the two entrances to secure it.
